Wow! What is that?? A customer (Mike Haase) recently asked us if we sold our Mandocaster necks separately. We asked, "Why would anyone want that?". He told us he was building a double neck guitar; 6-string with a Mandolin. We started thinking about that, then soon realized we wanted one too, and suspect if the price was right, you would also want one. So, we made a prototype.
After messing around with it for a few days, we decided on some changes to improve the playability (see CAD drawing that incorporates the final changes) like the Mando bridge placement and the headstock shapes.
