Warren Ellis Series Alternate Tunings & String Guide

Do you play one of our Warren Ellis guitars - or plan to? Then this guide has everything you need to know about the alternate tunings you can use - and the best strings for each tuning!

Warren Ellis Signature Tenor 2P in Blue

The Warren Ellis Series includes a range of different Warren Ellis signature guitars, including our best-selling Tenor 2P, the Mandocello, the Mandocaster and the Tenor Baritone.

All of these guitars can be tuned to several different guitar tunings, but using certain string gauges for different tunings is recommended.

This guide is designed to allow you to access a wide variety of alternate tunings for any Warren Ellis Series instrument. As we have received so many enquiries about tunings over the last few years, we thought an in depth guide would let everyone explore the possibilities!

Why use different string gauges for different guitar tunings?

Using the suggested gauges will help maintain the correct tensions required for neck stability and playability.

For even more alternate tunings & different (heavier) string gauges, enter your e-mail below and we'll send you our complete Warren Ellis Tuning & String Guide as a pdf.
