TO ICONIC REVIVALS
Eastwood Guitars began with a simple obsession: tracking down the strange, forgotten, and often impossible-to-find guitars that larger manufacturers had long abandoned. Founder Mike Robinson was drawn to the bold designs of the 1960s and 70s - the “oddball” instruments that had character, attitude, and personality, but were either too rare, too fragile, or too expensive for most working musicians to actually own and play. Originally chronicled on his own blog-style website MyRareGuitars, this passion for collecting quickly evolved into a mission: bring these lost designs back to life in a way that modern players could actually experience.
Over the years, Eastwood carved out a unique place in the guitar world by doing what few companies were willing to do: celebrate the unconventional. Instead of chasing traditional designs, we embraced the weird, the overlooked, and the misunderstood. Through carefully reimagined tributes, artist collaborations, and community-driven projects through Guitstarter, we've built a loyal following of players who want instruments with individuality and history behind them. It's not just about recreating vintage-inspired guitars... it's about preserving an entire era of adventurous design, and making it accessible again for musicians everywhere.
From cult classics and obscure vintage tributes to entirely new designs inspired by the past, we're proud to have grown into a global community of players who believe guitars should inspire curiosity as much as performance. But none of it exists without the musicians, collectors, and passionate players who continue to support the journey each day. Every Eastwood Guitar that finds its way into someone’s hands becomes part of the story, keeping these unique instruments alive for a new generation and proving that there will always be a place for the unconventional in music.
Below are a few customer favorites, but the real adventure starts beyond the hits. The Eastwood catalog is filled to the brim with hundreds of rare, unusual, and wildly different models!
